Certification
Each piece of osmium is checked in an osmium institute after crystallisation during the incoming-goods-inspection. The wire-cutting process is planned and commissioned. The cut pieces are catalogued, certified, weighed and measured. The surface scan is entered into the Osmium World database, using the four-eye principle.
The available pieces are categorised into standard semi-finished products such as osmium disks, osmium coins and osmium bars as well as osmium squares, which can be purchased in a personally selected batch, and which can be exchanged for other denominations free of charge.
In the second category, processed semi-finished products and inlays with processing surcharges and surcharges for off-cuts are offered, which can be processed directly into jewellery.
The third category comprises customised products that can be produced in small batches or as individual pieces.
Market introduction
In order to place osmium on the market, it is first placed on the market. Placing on the market means the first sale of a piece of osmium to a dealer after the osmium has been certified.Osmium institutes do not trade in osmium and therefore do not purchase crystalline osmium in order to avoid competing with dealers.
Competence
Osmium institutes employ experts in all matters relating to crystalline osmium. They inform the press and osmium owners. They train processors and sales partners.
Books, studies and scientific papers are usually compiled and published together with the Osmium Institutes. Similar standards have been created around the planet to standardise the trade in osmium.
Monopoly
There is a natural and an economic monopoly for osmium in crystalline form. The monopoly protects against plagiarism and promises security when dealing with the Osmium World Database.

World council
The Osmium World Council is an association that gathers interests and sets rules. All players in the osmium market have a voice here and are heard. The World Council works exclusively with volunteers from all over the world who know the osmium market very well.
The Council has the task of checking the processing of data in the Osmium World Database at regular intervals according to the rules of a fixed protocol. It prepares an internal audit report and, if necessary, issues instructions and makes suggestions for process changes.
